Kannur airport: Narcotics smuggling bid foiled

Kasaragod: The security personnel at Kannur International Airport have caught a passenger here allegedly carrying hashish, worth Rs 7 lakh in the market.
The arrested passenger is identified as Ajas Valiyaballath, a resident of Thyatheru and was travelling from Kannur to Doha when he was nabbed.
The CISF personnel at the airport checked the person to fins 210 grams of hashish in his pelvic area and a detailed search revealed 690 grams of hashish hidden in the soles of the slippers he was wearing. The accused has been handed over the Narcotics Control Bureau for further investigation.
