Kapu: Popular Telugu and Kannada film actor Prema on Tuesday visited Kapu Sri Hosa Marigudi Temple and Karanika Koragajja’s Daivasthana and offered prayers to the deities.

She was accompanied by actress Anu Aiyappa, Radhika Bhat, Bharati T K, and Rathna Suresh.

Chairman of the Hosa Marigudi Temple Development Committee K. Vasudeva Shetty explained the history and religious significance of the temple to the visiting dignitaries.

Later, actress Prema, in a media interaction, said that she has come here for the grace of Mariayamma. “I feel happy after paying obeisance to Mariamma. I know that coastal districts are home to many temples. One can get to know about the religious areas here only by going to different temples throughout the day,” she said and made an assurance to contribute to the temple restoration work.

Kapu Hosa Marigudi Temple Management Committee President Ramesh Hegde Kalya, members Jagdish Bangera, Chandrasekhar Amin, Babu Mallaru, Development Committee Promotion Committee President Yogesh Shetty Balaji, Govardhan Kapu, Radhika Bhat, and Bharati T.K. among others were present.

Prema also paid a visit to the Koragajja’s Sannidhi. She said she has heard a lot about Koragajja’s miracles. “This is the first time I am visiting Koragajja’s Sannishana. I have offered my prayers to Koragajja and hopeful that Koragajja, by his grace, will fulfill them,” she said.
