Karkala: A 60-year-old man was found charred to death in the rubber plantation of Sunthigudde in Sanur village on October 19.
The deceased has been identified as Malappuram Gopi (60), a laborer from Kerala. A petrol can lid was found near his body. It is suspected that the man must have set himself ablaze after dousing his body with the fuel.
Family problems are reportedly the reason for his alleged suicide.
However, Gopi’s friend Bahuleyan has gone missing after Gopi’s body was found. Police are currently on the lookout for him.
Suicide is preventable. If you get any such thoughts, consult or seek expert help.
