‘Katha Prasanga’ on PM Modi’s life

Mangaluru: An imaginary ‘Katha Prasanga’ on the life story of Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be presented through a Yakshagana performance on January 5 at T V Ramana Pai Hall here.

While Yakshagana is a theatrical form of presenting Mythological and historical stories, this play, titled as ‘Narendra Vijaya’ will cover Modi’s childhood days his lifestyle, political background and other major events.

The Yakshagana performance is being presented by troupe members of Jyothi Shastri Mathu Balaga and Gayathri Yakshagana Mandali, Theerthahalli at 6.30 pm on January 5.

Cast of the Yakshagana troupe:

Mummela (actors who speak and dance) artistes include Jyothi Shastri, Varada Aithal, Mayuri Upadhyaya, Nirmala Golikoppa, Savitha Bhat, Sharvani Bhat, Nalini Rao, Disha Joise, Mallika Raghavendra Bhat and others.

Himmela (background music) artistes include Nagesh Kulal Nagarakodige, N G Hegde, Krishnamurthy and M R R Nayak Siddapura.
