Kaup: A former member of the administrative committee of CSI Bethel Protestant Church at Muloor here has filed a police complaint alleging financial irregularities by the church priest.

Harsha Kotian Muloor, in his complaint with the Kaup Police station, has alleged that parish pastor Rev Abraham Sunil Kotian misappropriated funds from the church, local media reports said.

The priest is accused of not disclosing the donations and offerings received by the church since April 1, 2021. Owing to the pressure from the church administrative committee, the priest gave the account details, which were found to be riddled with inaccuracies.

Meanwhile, Kaup police have taken up the investigation into the matter.
