Mumbai: Indian cricketers KL Rahul is among the host of cricketers, including Rohit Sharma and Rishabh Pant, who have pledged their support to an Indian skater Nishchay Luthra through Adidas’s campaign ‘Fan the Fire’.
Adidas started their campaign by posting a video of Nishchay Luthra which reveals the hard work he has put in over the years and the vigorous training he underwent in the United States of America from the age of 10.
While KL Rahul went on to change the display name of his Twitter profile to make everyone in India aware of the young skater. Rishabh and Unmukt Chand, who are the brand ambassadors of the brand, also extended their support by changing their display names and making donations to help raising funds for Nishchay.
Nishchay has already won 12 medals at National Championships which includes 9 gold and 3 silver. He also has gold and a bronze medal at the international level.
His training in USA, however, was cut short due to lack of funds and he had to return to India.
With eyes on the 2018 Winter Olympics, the skater needs higher financial aid to continue his training and represent the country at the mega event.
