Koraput/Bhubaneswar:  While the police is yet to make any breakthrough in alleged gangrape of a minor girl in Koraput district, a scientific team collected samples, video graphed and took pictures of the crime spot today.

The police visited the CoBRA unit situated at Sunabeda and a BSF camp at Ralegada in the district since the girl had claimed in her statement yesterday that the four accused were in uniform. “At least five separate teams have been formed and the inquiry is in full swing. We are exploring all possibilities and inquiring into various angles,” said SP (Koraput) Kanwar Vishal Singh.

The incident occurred on Tuesday near Kunduli under the jurisdiction of Pottangi police station when the minor, on her way to school, was waylaid by four men and dragged to a nearby field, where they took turns to rape her, the police said.
