Bengaluru: The Karnataka State Primary School Teachers’ Association has passed a resolution rejecting the request made by Education Minister Suresh Kumar to donate salaries to private school teachers.
Members of the Association said that if the government wants them to donate a day’s salary then they must first receive their Dearness Allowances.
Private school teachers, however, are not happy with the government dragging government school teachers into their issues.
The Associated Managements of Primary and Secondary Schools in a letter to the minister said that the government has humiliated them by asking government school teachers to donate their salaries.
‘By this act, the government has again proven that they do not care for the private school teachers,” the letter added.
