K’taka: Bag-free day on 3rd Saturday for school children

The Department of State Education Research and Training (DSERT) has informed schools to observe a bag-free day on the third Saturday of every month.
The bag-free day will be applicable to students of classes I to VIII.
The decision aims to reduce the burden of textbooks for the students and create a joyful learning experience by engaging them in other activities.
