
‘Its official’: CM extends lockdown till Jun 14, announces Rs 500 cr relief package

Bengaluru: Chief Minister B S Yediyurappa on Thursday, June 3 announced that the state-wide lockdown has been further extended till 6 am on June 14.
The decision, Yediyurappa stated was taken based on experts’ advice.
Meanwhile he also announced a second Covid-19 relief package worth Rs 500 Crore.
Under the package weavers, workers in film and TV industry, fishermen will get Rs 3000 cash assistance. While teachers of unaided schools will get Rs 5000.
Earlier in the day, Yediyurappa had held a meeting with the concerned officials to discuss measures to curb the spread of the virus in coming days.
