The Lokayukta Court of Mangaluru has acquitted Raghav D, a Junior Engineer at the Mangaluru Electricity Supply Company (MESCOM) in a bribery case.

Raghav was accused of accepting bribe money from an electrical contractor.

The case stemmed from a complaint filed by Jitesh NM, an electrical contractor from Thotabengre, alleging that Raghava D demanded a bribe of Rs 5,000 in exchange for processing applications for additional load to Lobo Engineering Works and a 20 HP load for a new venture owned by Godwin Monteiro.

After a thorough examination of the records and evidence presented, Judge Sandhya S of Mangaluru’s Lokayukta Court rendered the verdict, acquitting Raghava D of all charges.

The defense was represented by advocate Rajesh Kumar Amtadi.
