Magadi: Girl dies after being flung out of bus’s windshield

Magadi: A 6-year-old girl died after being flung out of the windshield of a bus when it jerked violently due to the sudden application of the brakes.

The incident occurred on July 21 near here.

The girl was travelling with her grandmother and uncle from Bengaluru to Ujani village in Kunigal taluk.

She and her grandmother was sitting in the front seat of the bus next to the engine when the driver suddenly applied brakes causing her to crash through the windshield glass and come under the left tyre of the bus.

She died on the spot.

The girl’s relatives have alleged that the driver of the bus was driving very rashly and lodged a complaint against him at Magadi police station.

The police have arrested the driver and booked him for rash driving and death by negligence.
