Man gets life imprisonment for abducting, marrying minor

The 1st FTS court here awarded life imprisonment to a man convicted of child marriage and minor’s rape.
The convicted, Harish is a resident of Kammanahalli.
He had married the victim after abducting her and kept her in rented premises at Mangammanapalya for a month’s period. After having physical intercourse with the victim he left the rented house overnight.
Over the next 8-month period, Harish stayed with the victim at a hotel and then a rented house in Mysuru. He allegedly tortured and sexually assaulted her during this time.
The police had filed a charge sheet in this regard.
