Man kills wife for refusing to give money for alcohol

Bengaluru: In an episode which occurred in Soladevanahalli police station limits on Thursday July 5, a man killed his wife with a brick for not giving him money to purchase alcohol.
The decaesd was Kasturi (35) from Madhya Pradesh. Her husband Raja Singh is arrested and remanded to judicial custody by the court.
The couple from Madhya Pradesh had come to the city ten days ago. Raja Singh had was working at Soladevanahalli and he was allotted a shed at Bone Mill, Chikkasandra, to remain. Raja Singh lived in the shed with wife, Kasturi, and her more younger sister. Subsequent to coming here, Raja had gone to work just for three days.
At around 7 pm on Thursday, Raja Singh demanded Rs 30 from his wife to purchase alcohol. Kasturi at first refused. After Raja Singh held on with his demand, she at last gave him Rs 20, yet Raja kept on bugging for more money. This resulted in heated argument between the couple. Enraged by this, Raja Singh attacked his wife with a brick. Kasturi endured grievous injuries and died on spot on the spot. Raja then attacked his sister-in-law who came to rescue her sister.
Raja was then arrested and presented in court.
