Mangaluru: 2 booked for selling bovine meat in chicken shop

Bajpe: On April 4, Bajpe police officials raided a chicken shop at Suralpady in Muduperar here and seized 23 kilograms of bovine meat from the shop.
The police filed charges against the accused Mohammed Sameer and Mohammed Safiq and also seized a Maruti Omni from them used in transporting the meat.
It was reported that the duo stole cattle and illegally sold its meat.
