Ullal: Udupi and Dakshina Kannada are “factories of Hindutva” and Mangaluru is a “lab of Communalism”. The work for removing the “Communal” BJP by its roots shall begin from here, said Congress leader and former Chief Minister Siddaramaiah on Thursday.

He was speaking at a massive public awareness meeting held under the auspices of Ullala Block Congress and Mudipu Block Congress of Mangaluru assembly constituency near Kadavi of Harekala village.

He further lashed out at the ruling dispensation in the state saying that the BJP “does not believe” in Constitution drafted by Ambedkar.

He further accused Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai of working as a “puppet” of RSS. “When there are killings in the district, the houses of victims of a particular religion are visited and compensation is announced,” he said.

He further said that BJP makes big promises during elections, but forgets them after winning elections and works to break the society.  “The people of Mangaluru and Udupi are politically mature and will take the right decision this time,” he said.
