Mangaluru: Brawl between friends at party ends in murder

Mangaluru: A brawl between friends ended up in the murder of a youth at a lodge here late at night.

The deceased youth, identified as Dhanush (20), had gone with his friends to party on the occasion of the Dasara festival.

Details of the incident:

Reports said that Dhanush, along with his friends Prameet, Jason, Karthik, Dhanush, Durgesh and Prajwal had gone to a lodge near Pumpwell for celebrating the festival on October 15.

At about 2 PM, a scuffle broke out between Jason Surthkal and Dhanush. In the heat of the moment, Jason stabbed the victim with a sharp weapon, sources said.

Dhanush was immediately rushed to the nearby Indiana hospital with serious injuries however, he breathed his last on the way to the hospital, sources added.
