Mangaluru: In its general session held on Thursday, December 31 here, the Mangaluru City Corporation (MCC) agreed to procure land for a drinking water supply unit near the new dam being built between the Adyar and Thumbe dams.
The session was informed that a letter regarding it has already been written to the District’s Deputy Commissioner.
Mayor Diwakar also stated that MESCOM officials have been told to stop the frequent unscheduled load shedding being done at the Thumbe pumping station and asked them to notify the Corporation’s water department before cutting power as it disrupts water supply to the city.
