Mangaluru City Corporation gets Kavita Sanil as its New Mayor

Mangaluru: Congress party candidate Kavita Sanil has been elected as Mayor of Mangaluru City Corporation (MCC) whereas Rajanish S Kapikkad became the new Deputy Mayor of MCC in the elections held on Thursday.
Kavita Sanil succeeded to get 38 votes whereas BJP candidate Purnima obtained the support of 20 members in the elections held for Mayor post. Meanwhile, Rajanish unanimously elected as deputy mayor of MCC.
