A consignee has filed a cheating case at Mangaluru north police station against a transporter after the latter failed to deliver his consignment.

On July 25, the complainant Ramakanth Vasanth had booked a consignment to deliver 25.586 metric tonnes of raw cashew nuts valued at Rs 28 lacs to Sindhudurga in Maharashtra in two days i.e July 27.

However, the transporter failed to do so. Thus a cheating case has been filed against him.
