Chetana S, proprietor of Chetana’s Beauty Lounge has created realistic lion face painting to mark the conclusion of Navaratri season. The art was captured by photographer Vivek Sequira and is going viral on social media.
Goddess Durga is known as Simhavahini, which means the one who resides on lion. Maa Durga is depicted riding a lion, which symbolizes unlimited power.
Talking to Udayavani, Chetana said, “I have been thinking about this for a very long time but was not sure when and how to implement it. As Navratri festival was approaching, I thought this would be the best time to work on it”
“I have made this art on my assistant Shreya Bhatt. I painted her hair to look like lion’s fur. I made lion’s eyes on her eyelids and sealed her eyebrows using sealing wax. It came out to be a lot neater than I thought it would be,” she added
Halloween makeup
Halloween is celebrated on October 31st. The tradition originated with the ancient Celtic festival of Samhain, when people would light bonfires and wear costumes to ward off ghosts. Chetana created a special makeup look on Actress Swastika Poojary to mark this occasion. It took her three hours to complete this look
