Mangaluru: The Social Democratic Party of India staged a protest in front of the city’s town hall on Tuesday demanding the repeal of the farm laws.
“There are protests all over the country demanding the repeal of the anti-farmer laws. Today in Mangaluru, SDPI along with farmer’s union is holding this protest rally,” said Athaullah Jokatte, SDPI’s district president.
“The BJP is bringing in laws against the farmers and workers. BJP is now cheating farmers after taking oath on their behalf. In the past, many Muslims were arrested during the NRC and CAA protests,” Jotte added.
