Mangaluru: Swamiji found dead at ashram, suicide suspected

In a case of suspected suicide, the seer of Dharma Chavadi was found dead in his ashram on Friday, July 22 under Bajpe Police station limits.

The deceased has been identified as Sri Krishna Devi Prasad Swamiji (51). Prior to embracing asceticism, Sri Krishna Devi Prasad Swamiji was a hotelier in Mumbai.

He later renounced worldly pleasures and lived in the ashram he built near Talakala Kandhavara panchayat limits in Kolambe village.

He is married and has a daughter.

Bajpe police registered a case of unnatural death. The seer’s body has been sent for post-mortem and a case of unnatural death has been registered.
