Mangaluru: A written examination is set to take place on February 25, from 11 am to 12.30 pm, at Alva’s College in moodbidri for the recruitment of 1,137 posts of police constables, including in-service and backlogged positions for the year 2022-23.
Candidates eligible for the examination will receive notifications about their call letters via SMS, along with a link to download the hall ticket. It is mandatory for candidates to download the hall tickets and appear for the written test on the specified date. Additionally, candidates must adhere to a prescribed dress code.
The dress code mandates half-sleeve shirts, specifically collarless shirts without zip pockets or large buttons. Jeans pants and trousers with numerous pockets are also not permitted. Furthermore, candidates are prohibited from wearing shoes inside the examination center; thin-soled shoes are the only acceptable footwear. Candidates are also advised against wearing any metal ornaments, rings, or bracelets around the neck.
Female and transgender candidates are instructed not to wear clothing with elaborate embroidery, flowers, brooches, or buttons. Full-sleeved clothes and jeans pants are to be avoided, with half-sleeved attire recommended to prevent any inconvenience. High-heeled shoes, sandals, and thick-soled footwear are not allowed; instead, thin-soled shoes are to be worn. Additionally, wearing any form of metal jewelry, except mangalsutra and kalungura, is strictly prohibited, stated Mangaluru City Police Commissioner Anupam Agarwal.
