MB Patil accuses centre of tapping his phone

Bengaluru: Water Resources Minister M B Patil has accused that the his and his family’s phones have been tapped and dreaded there would be Income Tax raids against him before the model set of accepted rules for the state assembly elections comes into force.

Talking to the media persons Patil said “My phone is being tapped. Not just mine, likewise that of my son, my wife, people around me, my associations… The phones of 10 to 12 individuals around me were tapped…,” Patil asserted

He said that he got this data on Tuesday and Wednesday. “Whenever before the model implicit rules come into force, there will be an IT raid against me within eight to 10 days,” he asserted.

He included that he had data the IT assault from “extremely dependable” authorities.

“IT is preparing for a raid on me. Give them a chance to do it,” he said.

Home Minister Ramalinga Reddy had in January charged the BJP-led government at the Centre of tapping the telephones of Congress leaders in the state.
