Mangaluru: The Mangaluru City Corporation has released the list of members nominated to the ward committees on its website on Monday.

As the second step residents of the respective 60 wards in the Corporation can now raise objections and grievances regarding the list with zonal commissioners within 15 days, Municipal Commissioner Akshy Sridhar informed.

The constitution of ward committees was initiated in November 2020 after directions from the Karnataka High Court.

Accordingly, applications were invited from eligible candidates for membership to the committees and more than 1,200 applications were received.

Due to the lockdown, the preparation of the final list took time, Sridhar said.
