Mekedatu padayatra to resume from Feb 27

Leader of the Opposition Siddaramaiah said that the ‘Namma Neeru, Namma Hakku’ campaign which had to be stopped abruptly on January 13 due to the third wave of Covid-19, will be resumed from February 27.

Addressing pressperson Siddaramaiah said that the padayatra will be resumed from Ramanagara on February 27.”

He further informed that the rally will be held for five days and all the party leaders, workers, and the public will take part in the five-day padayatra.

The leaders had kicked off a 155km padayatra last month from Sangam to Bengaluru, demanding speedy implementation of the Mekedatu balancing reservoir project in Kanakapura.

The project aims to ensure adequate drinking water supply to Bengaluru.
