Bengaluru: In the most recent bend to the missing Congress MLAs case, it is currently learnt that the two MLAs – Anand Singh and Pratap Gowda Patil – have been found at the Goldfinch hotel in Bengaluru.
A group of police faculty, including the commissioner T Suneel Kumar went to the lodging to examine the reports of the MLAs being held hostage at the inn. These MLAs are en route to Assembly at present. Congress leader DK Shivkumar is seen holding Pratap Gowda Patil’s hand and taking him towards the assembly.
Congress leaders held discussions with Pratap Gowda Patil in Vidhana Soudha. He has returned to Congress fold after initial indications of cross-voting by him, say sources. D K Shivakumar hands over letter of whip order to Pratap Gowda Patil as the police had earlier denied Congress the opportunity to give the whip order to Patil when he was in the hotel.
Congress leader D K Shivakumar said “Pratap Gowda Patil and Anand Singh are with us and will vote in our favour”
The Assembly session started on Saturday morning with pro-tem Speaker Bopaiah directing the oath to all recently chose MLAs. The trust vote as coordinated by the Supreme Court will be held at 4 pm.
In the mean time, the Karnataka Assembly has been adjourned till 3:30 pm.
