Udupi: Pointing out that the Covid positivity rate in Udupi is around 1.5 percent, MLA Raghupati Bhat said that he will meet chief minister Basavaraj Bommai and urge him to withdraw the weekend curfew imposed in the district.
Bhat said that the weekend curfew was necessary for districts that share borders with other states, but Udupi is not a border area district.
The district administration is conducting three thousand to four thousand tests daily. I have discussed issue of weekend curfew with minister Sunil Kumar and he too is in agreement with me. We will both meet and discuss the issue with chief minister,” he added.
