M’luru bound flight with 164 passengers finally takes off from Kuwait

Mangaluru: A private Indigo flight from Kuwait to Mangaluru which was canceled at the last moment on June 27, finally departed from Kuwait on Saturday, July 4 with 164 passengers on board.
The flight Kuwait to Mangaluru arranged by the Kuwait Kerala Muslim association, which was supposed to arrive in the city on June 27 was canceled after the Karnataka government revised the order issued for people returning from foreign countries.
According to the new order, only those who test negative for coronavirus can board the aircraft at the airport of origin. This had proven to be a headache for the Kuwait returnees, as there were no testing facilities available for returnees in Kuwait, and only for passengers traveling by Kuwait Airways, this system is available.
However, the government later permitted the said chartered flight to fly to Mangaluru on July 4.
