M’luru: Case filed against fast-food outlet after live worm found

Mangaluru: A complaint has been filed against a fast-food outlet located in a mall in the city after a customer found a live worm traversing in the packet of the parcel.

The case was filed by Salma Simran, a resident of Ladyhill in the city againt ChicKing fast-food outlet located in a mall in the city.

As per the complaint Simran, her mother, and children were consuming the food and found a live worm in the chicken dish. The family soon tried to contact the outlet several times but could not get connected, they brought this to the notice of Urwa police station.

Following the incident, Keshav Das, manager of the ChicKing outlet said that their chicken dishes are prepared at a temperature of 163 degrees temperature and there is no chance of any living worm being found in our dishes.

“Food is packed only after cleaning up everything. Till date, we have not received any complaint of this sort. However, we will give the customer fresh food and also return the money,” he added.
