Mother and son die in car-truck head-on collision in Kota

Kundapur: In a tragic accident, two people lost their lives and two others sustained injuries when an alto car had a head-on collision with a lorry on NH66 in Kota near here today.
It has been reported that the car jumped a divider and collided head on, with a truck carrying fish.
The deceased have been identified as Avinash and Girija from Barkur Bennekudru. The two injured persons have been rushed to the hospital.
According to sources, the duo were on their way from Saligrama to attend a programme near Kota, when the car went out of control after an attempt to avoid a collision with a bike approaching from the opposite direction.
A case has been registered by the Kota police.
