Mulki: Man found murdered in bus stand; Accused arrested

Mulki: Police officials have arrested a man in connection with a murder that happened in Mulki on Saturday, March 19.

The arrested accused has been identified as Murugan (46) from Tamil Nadu who is a resident of Thokur.

On Sunday, police officials found a dead body of a man with his face smashed. The deceased was identified as Harish Salian (37), a construction worker from Mundkur in Karkala.

Reportedly, the incident took place when then the victim and the accused had come to Bappanadu to visit a temple Saturday night.

Later, they both went to a bar and got drunk. They allegedly began quarreling over a minor financial issue and in a fit of rage Murugan killed Harish.

Murugan is now in police custody.
