Murnadu: Elderly woman murdered; gold jewellery stolen

Madikeri: An elderly woman was murdered and the gold ornaments were stolen at Kumbaladalu village in Murnadu in an incident that came to light delayed. The deceased woman is identified as Radha (69), a resident of Kumbaladalu.
Since many years, she has been living alone in the house. Her two sons were employed at a different location and her daughter was living in a house only 2 miles away from Kumbaladalu. Since two days, the sons were trying to contact their mother. Though the phone was ringing, their mother failed to receive the call. Frightened, the sons asked the workers to visit the house to find out. On Saturday, they found Radha dead inside the house.
Later the villagers informed Napoklu police. The location was visited by the canine unit, fingerprint experts and Napoklu police.
When the children of the deceased woman examined the house they found out that the gold jewellery belonging to their mother as missing. The same has been informed to the police.
A case has been registered with Napoklu police station and a special team has been created for catching the murderers.
