Mumbai : He may have attained the status of one of the most talented and versatile actors in Bollywood, but it seems Nawazuddin Siddiqui is still facing a tough time in the films because of his unconventional looks. In a cryptic tweet, the 43-year-old actor posted on Twitter, he hinted at having a run-in with racism recently.
“Thank you for making me realise that I cannot be paired along with the fair and handsome because I’m dark and not good looking, but I never focus on that,” Nawaz tweeted.
The actor, however, did not divulge any further details regarding the incident which prompted him to write the post on the microblogging site. Last year in an interview, Nawazuddin had praised the film industry for giving priority to talent over good looks.
He had claimed that there is no racism in Bollywood.
