New Laws to be Framed to Punish Who Fail to Close Dead Borewells: Minister

Bengaluru: Karnataka state government is planning to form new law to take severe legal action against the land owners who fail to close their dead borewells in the state, said Karnataka state Panchayatraj and Rural Development Minister HK Patil speaking on Belagavi tragedy where a 6 year old girl fell into a dead borewell on Saturday. The proposed law allow the concerned authorities to serious action against the land owners who found irresponsible in closing the dead tubewell properly.
