Mangaluru: In order to simplify the patrolling of the city, the city police are bringing into effect a new model of police beat system. The name of the model is “My patrol, My pride”.

The specialty of this new system is that the entire city will be divided into small parts and a constable or a head constable will be appointed as in-charge of every individual beat. Similarly, a WhatsApp group will be created for every beat and responsible citizens of every level of the society, all casts, communities, religions and of all ages will be registered into it and daily suggestions, information and directions will be taken and provided through this platform.

Another specialty of this system, along with the concerned beat constable, all police officials within Mangaluru Commissionerate including the Police commissioner and sub inspectors will carry out beat duty for at least one day in the month. Through this, not only will the senior officials get information regarding problems on the local level, they will also understand the locals stand on every issue  based on which it will become more convenient to provide people oriented service.

Through this new system, it will become convenient for the people to get one-vote verification and also verification regarding jobs.

This new system will make it convenient for the local beat constable or head constable to provide these services directly at the door step of the public.

In this way, with more and more people joining the system, it will become convenient for the police to provide their service in the most effective way throughout the commissionerate limits. Therefore the public is requested to consider this plan as their own, join hands with it to make it stronger and provide suggestions and information, thereby assisting the police in providing their service in a more effective and comprehensive manner.
