Mysuru: Deputy Chief Minister and Transport Minister Laxman Savadi has stated there will be no hike in the fares of government buses.
Speaking in the city here, he said that although all the Road Transport Corporations (RTCs) in the State are suffering losses but people too are in financial distress hence it was decided not to increase the fares now.
On the issue of RTC employees strike he said that 8 out of the 9 demands have been met, however, pay revision cannot be done now as the money released by the government is not even sufficient to manage the corporations operations.
