Noida: Pit bull mauls child as its owner looks on; 2 held

Police arrested two persons for allegedly letting their pit bull attack a minor following an argument with the latter’s family.

The incident took place in Gautam Buddh Nagar district on Monday. In the video of the incident, which has now gone viral on social media the dog can be seen mauling the child while its owners looked on from their terrace.

In an attempt to rescue the wailing boy, two men are seen hitting the dog with a stick thus forcing it to let go of the child.

Based on the complaint filed by the minor’s family members, police arrested the dog owners, identified as Ravinder and Saurabh. Another person named Jagat is on-the-run, said the police.

The police have registered a case under relevant of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).
