Officials repair Tungabhadra Left Bank Canal’s crack after Udayavani’s report

Gangavati: Water resources department officials on Tuesday, September 22 filled a crack that was found in the aqueduct on the right side of the Tungabhadra Left Bank Canal near Kesarahatti in the taluk.
A few days ago a crack was found on the aqueduct. A small amount of water was leaking from the crack. to leak. One of the farmers who saw this posted photos of it on his Facebook account.
The news was reported on Udayavani on September 21. Taking cognizance of the news report, officials of the Department of Water Resources visited the site and filled up the cracked area.
Speaking to Udayavani, senior engineer of the department Rajesh Vastrad stated that farmers need not worry now as the cracks have been filled. He also requested the general public that if they find any such cracks in the canal then they should inform the department’s gang man and not post photos of it on social media.
