Mangaluru: Expressing their ire over the delay in arresting those involved in the demolition of Panjimogaru prayer centre here, Congress party workers, including former MLA Mohiudeen Bava on Monday held a protest in front of Kavoor police station.
The prayer centre, run by St Antony Church of Kulur was allegedly demolished on February 5 in violation of the court’s stay order. A complaint was lodged against Shri Satya Korddabbu Seva Samithi with Kavoor police.
Protestors alleged police inaction against the miscreants though it has been more than a week since the incident. The situation was brought under control following the intervention of DCP (law and order) Hariram Shankar.
