Surathkal: With an aim to provide loving homes to the Desi Dogs and Cats, Animal Care Trust, Shakthinagar has been organising adoption camp. These stray animals who are rescued by ACT’s volunteers from heart-wrenching situations, abuse, neglect and injury due to accidents are then cared for by the  ACT. Once these animals become healthier they are put up for adoption. While ACT has been successful in getting numerous puppies and kittens adopted, there is still a need for many more people to come forward to embrace these furry friends.

After a successful adoption camp conducted on February 17, ACT is now all set to organise yet another camp on Sunday, February 24th  at Viarad Complex, near Govinda Dasa PU College, NH 66, Surathkal from 10 a.m to 5 p.m.

It has been ACT’s endeavour to put an end to the miseries of these voiceless and find them forever homes,” says Suma Nayak, Trustee of ACT.

While there is no payment for adoption a nominal registration fee of  ₹200 is charged that helps in covering the basic medical expenses incurred. Potential adopters must get a valid photo ID for registration. Children must be accompanied by parents/guardians.

ACT, a registered charitable trust that has been actively involved in caring for these voiceless beings across Mangalore and stands as a monument of compassion
