Police bust prostitution racket in Pandeshwar; one arrested

Mangaluru: A person has been arrested by the police on charges of running a prostitution racket in Pandeshwar in city. The arrested has been identified as Gurunath (39) from Hosabale in Shivamogga district.
A joint raid was conducted by Pandeshwar police and CCB at a lodge located on Old Kent Road in Pandeshwar. Another person identified as Jagannath, who was managing the lodge managed to escape.
There is suspicion that the lodge was being used for prostitution since a long time. The raid was conducted after receiving complaints from a few local people in this connection.
