Mangaluru: A bride-to-be has filed a case against her groom after the latter allegedly called-off the alliance without citing any reasons for doing so at the last moment.
The groom identified as Nikith Shetty from Mulihithlu works in Dubai and had been in constant touch with the girl, who happens to be from Jeppu after their marriage got fixed.
Merely days before the marriage when almost all preparations such as booking of venue, distribution of wedding invites etc had been finalised Nikhit is said to have backed out from the wedding.
Though the bride’s family made efforts to convince Nikhit to change his decision he and his family members refused to oblige whereafter the girl lodged a case under Section 420 (cheating) of IPC at Pandeshwar police station against the groom.
