Private bus overturns near Venur, 7-8 passengers injured

A private bus traveling from Moodabidri to Bengaluru met with an accident as it overturned after the driver lost control over the vehicle, at Gandhinagar near Venur on State Highway 70 Moodabidri-Beltangady road.

Around seven to eight individuals, who sustained injuries in the mishap, have been swiftly transferred to a nearby hospital for medical attention and are presently receiving treatment.

The incident took place around 10:30 AM, leading to a roadblock that impeded traffic flow for an approximate duration of two hours. In a subsequent response, a crane was dispatched to the location and effectively cleared the roadway.

Venur police have registered a case in this regard.
