Provide quality nutritious food for Covid patients in hospitals: K’taka govt

Bengaluru: With the intention of improving the immunity levels in Covid -19 patients receiving treatment in designated hospitals, the state government has issued orders to provide them with quality nutritious food on time
Breakfast must be served to patients at 7 a.m., lunch at 1 p.m. and dinner at 7 p.m. It has also tabled a weekly chart for the breakfast – ”rava idli” on Monday, ”pongal” on Tuesday, ”set dosa” on Wednesday, rice idli on Thursday, ”bisi bele bath” on Friday, ”chow chow bath” on Saturday and ”set dosa” on Sunday.
Patients will be served with roti, chapati, palya, rice, dal, and curd for lunch and dinner. An egg will be served to patients during lunch.
Refreshment post breakfast will include a fruit – such as watermelon, papaya, musk melon, which will be served on alternate days while evening refreshment one banana and three cookies, two protein cookies, two dates and a mango bar for vitamin C will be served at 5 pm everyday. Flavoured milk will be provided at 9 p.m.
