PUC II results: Visual impairment didn’t stop triplets from scoring high

Surathkal: Triplets brothers with vision problems of Sri Brahmashree Narayanaguru PU College performance in the second PUC examinations has shown that success is possible if one has the will to achieve it.

The brothers Jeevan, Jayesh and Jitesh scored 577, 564 and 560 in the second PUC examination.

Sons of a wage earning father, the brothers suffer from an eye disorder that makes them possess a visibility upto only a couple of feet. They need to wear special eyeglasses and have to read books close to their eyes.

With the encouragement of teachers and parents, Jayesh achieved first rank in the college and the other two brothers too achieved special rankings.

Umesh Karkera, principal of the college, says that the brothers dream of becoming Chartered Accountants and already some colleges in Mangaluru have come forward to admit them.
