Puttur: An incident where two sisters attacked a female police sub-inspector when she tried to stop the women from hitting a man was reported from the Women’s Police Station here on March 1.

Sub Inspector Sesamma was attacked by sisters Baby D’Souza (34) and Asha (35).

On February 28, two separate complaints were filed against each other by Baby D’Souza and her relative Sunita D’Souza at the Puttur Women’s Police Station.

Both of them were summoned to the police station. Baby’s elder sister Asha accompanied her to the station.

While SI Sesamma was inquiring about the family issue, Baby D’Souza pushed and started hitting her husband Lawrence D’Souza who had also come to the station.

Seeing this, SI Sesamma tried to stop the attack when, allegedly, Asha and Baby both started attacking SI Sesamma.

After the incident, SI Sesamma was admitted to the hospital and later released.

A complaint was lodged at the police station by a police station staff.

Baby and Asha were later detained by the police.
