
Puttur Moral policing: Two held for abusing, assaulting woman, male colleague

Bengaluru: Police have arrested two persons for allegedly attacking a woman and her male colleague while they were having dinner at a hotel in Puttur on September 20.
The complainant Rajeshwari (36), a resident of Anekal had arrived in Puttur on September 18, to get possession of her car, which was confiscated by Puttur police. She was accompanied by two of her colleagues, Shiva and U K Mohammed Arafat during her visit.
In her complaint, Rajeshwari alleged that the accused abused her as she was mingling with a Muslim man. They also attacked her male colleagues and took photographs and videos.
Acting on her complaint, police it is gathered have arrested Geetesh, 29, and Ashok, 34, from Puttur here.
