Puttur: Youth, employed with DRDO, ends life

In a tragic incident reported from Kallarpe, Aryapu village, a young scientist allegedly died by suicide at his residence here on Wednesday night.

The deceased has been identified as Bharat (24). He was employed with the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) on a temporary basis for the past two months and was posted in Huyderabad.

Reportedly he had tendered his resignation and returned to his native place a week ago.

However his resignation had not been accepted by the organization and he got a call from his employer on Wednesday night. It is gathered that Bharat took the drastic step later that same night.

Bharat is survived by his father, brother and a sister.

A case has been registered in this incident.
